On November 19, 2025, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opened the doors of its Philippines Alabang Temple for a special public open house. Invited guests, including our team, were warmly welcomed and guided through a unique experience inside this sacred space.
The tour began at the information desk, where church members verified their temple recommends to ensure they were valid and current. This simple step underscores the reverence and preparation required to enter the temple.
Next, guests learned about temple clothing. Members dress in white garments, symbolizing purity and equality—a visual reflection of the sacredness of temple worship.
We then visited the baptismal font, where baptisms for the dead by proxy are performed. The guide highlighted the importance of this ordinance for those who passed away without having the opportunity to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. Guests were also introduced to the vital role of Family History work in preparing ancestors’ names for these sacred rites.
The tour continued through separate locker rooms for men and women, followed by the bride’s room, where brides prepare for their temple wedding ceremonies. Each space emphasizes reflection, preparation, and reverence.
One of the most moving parts of the tour was the instruction room, where members receive teachings before passing through the veil into the Celestial Room. This serene, quiet room invites contemplation and connection, leaving many visitors with a profound sense of peace and the presence of God.
The final stop was the sealing room, where families participate in ceremonies that, according to church beliefs, unite them for eternity. Fathers, mothers, and children are spiritually bound together—not only for this life but for all time.
The tour concluded with a warm reception from church leaders and members, whose smiles and hospitality created a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere. Visitors left with not only a deeper understanding of the temple but also a memorable experience of faith, devotion, and community.
The open house offered a rare glimpse into a sacred world usually reserved for church members, allowing the public to experience the beauty, peace, and significance of the Alabang Temple before its formal dedication.
We are grateful that, even though we are not members of the church, we were given the opportunity to glimpse the inside of the temple.
